Worst Washer Ever Owned

We bought this washer to replace our other GE washer in 2015. We've had nothing but problems with it. 5 service calls and still same issues. The clothing is always dripping wet and water on bottom. We've even ran clothing through 3 additional drain/spin cycles and everything is still soaked. I don't recommend this washer to anyone.

I have had this machine for 5 months and have had 6-8 service calls. It is very LOUD and moves a lot. I am not happy with this machine.

The machine has not work properly since purchase

The machine has a mind of it own. Not always but every now and then it fill up with soap and cloths, then the machine shuts off. I hit the start button and it will empty without washing. I called to have it fixed last year but was told if they come and can't find a problem I would have to pay $150. As of yesterday I have someone coming to fix it because when I hit the start button it started fill and spin at the same time and I ended up with water all over the floor. I had to pull the plug to stop it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not clean even with small loads!

I've has this 14 months. It was an adjustment. The loads need to be small because the washer does not pull the clothes under and even on the highest water level, barely covers the clothes. The wash level is way to short. I even started wasting water and soaking my small loads and the clothes, of a professional business person, still do not get clean. I'm sorry for anyone with children that purchased this product. I'd love to make the wash cycle longer but cannot find help to do so.

The longest run time setting is whites/heavy. You may also try selecting deep water rinse and see if this makes a difference.

Horrible! Complete Rebuild and STILL doesn't work!

GTWN4250DWS - bought this after building or new home. Was so excited to have a nice new matching set. This washer after a few months of use could not stay balanced and was terribly loud. My husband accused me of not loading it correctly but I made sure to load it right. After 6 month it continued to get worse and started leaking. Now, over the last 2 month and multiple days off work for the appliance company to come fix it. It has been completely rebuild with all new parts. And it still doesn't work right and is now rinsing loads several times before spinning out and the extra rinse it NOT turned on! Also we had to have the water fill spray replaced because it spraying water all over the place during filling and would increase pressure with the lid up and decry pressure with the lid down...backwards???? Now I have a washer that is only 15 months old and have to go purchase a new one and it will NOT be a GE. I am so sad by this I wanted a matching set so bad and now can only afford a new washer so I will have to keep my GE dryer. Horrible appliance and will never purchase GE again.

Not so good

This Washing Machine is not what it was advertised to be. It does have a large capacity and the clothes come out pretty clean BUT...they are so wrinkled when they come out that I spend all the money saved for ENERGY STAR rating on the electricity used for my iron. Wish they had told me about that little STAR.

Disappointed after other good GE experiences

The new GE washing machine we bought is on the fritz, conveniently 6 months after the warranty expired. Water loads mo longer fill to where they did last month, and despite the setting water won't come more than 25% up the drum. Agitator is burned out. What I want to know is why didn't this machine last longer than 18 months? We are a two person household, doing no more than four light loads a week. No jeans ever or heavy loads. We had previous good experience with GE before: the previous washer lasted 15 years. We specifically bought this one because it is made in the USA, a point of pride for us. GE, any suggestions? Calling a repair person would be the same as buying a new unit, which seems wasteful. Sigh :-(
