In general I like my new washer, the only thing I dislike but I am getting used to it: pour the detergent BEFORE adding the clothes. I end up with a soapy cup

spin cycle too noisy

I bought this 3 months ago. I pick GE again because i am very happy with my GE profile washer that i bought 8 years ago. This one clean the cloths fine. but the spinning cycle was way too loud. i experienced a house shuttering loud noise 2 weeks ago that i thought the house is fallen down. It scared me to death. it turned out the cloth is unbalanced. I had to stopped the machine and redistributed But still the spinning cycle are louder that every machines i owned before. It happened again last week. I found out I can not wash towels with other light clothing together. it will be unbalance and make huge noise. I have to watch the machine while I do the laundry
that is a pain in the neck. My old GE i just threw any thing in it and do not need to worry about. Can this problem be fixed by GE? It is still under the warranty.
I am nervous every time I do the Laundry. Please help.

I had the super-expensive no-agitator models for 10 years & decided to go back to basics two months ago. This washer actually cleans & removes pet hair from my clothes - I love it! Lots of cycles to choose from so no hand-washing. It does make an alarming noise periodically depending on how large the load is but I'd still buy it again.

all you need in a washer - and the tub is deep enough for quality washing, but not so deep that a short person tips over trying to get the clothes out.
