[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent value. Low water use and clothes are clean. Takes a little longer to do a wash load, but the washer is very quiet. Works well in a condo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I USED A FRONT LOADER FOR 7 YRS. I WILL ONLY GIVE IT A FAIR FOR GETTING CLOTHS CLEAN. BENDING DOWN TO GET CLOTH OUT WAS NOT EASY FOR ME I HAVE ATHRITIS. THE NEXT WASHER I PURCHASED WAS THE ONE THAT HAS NO AGITATOR AND THAT DID NOT WORK BECAUSE IT DID NOT SENSE ENOUGH WATER TO WAS CLOTHS. SOME OF THE CLOTHS HAD DRY SPOTES AFTER A FULL WASH CYCLE. THE NEW GE WASHER WE HAVE GIVES YOU MANY OPTIONS AS TO WHAT YOU WANT YOUR MACHINE TO DO. THAT I CAN APPRECIATE.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good wash cycle-not so good rinse cycle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like most of the features of this washer. My problem is with the rinse cycle that does not fill the tub with water. During the rinse cycle the tub rotates with water running over the clothes and immediately draining as opposed to the tub filling, agitating then draining. This type of rinse cycle has left fabric softener stains on my clothes even with the extra rinse recommended for fabric softener use. Also, it is not efficient to require an extra rinse cycle when using fabric softener-it requires more electricity this way. It would be more efficient if the initial rinse cycle consisted of the old fashioned way of the tub completely filling, agitating then draining. It would also be nice to have an "End of Cycle" buzzer. Otherwise, I would recommend this machine.

Doesn't Spin Well
on April 1, 2013

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer about nine months. I love how quiet it is, but with a MS in textiles & clothing, years with the AATCC, and a very strong QA background in laundering, I am not happy about the reduced amount of water. Sufficient water is necessary to get the proper mechanical action to dislodge dirt and ensure proper rinsing. I have the machine set a maximum for fill.
My biggest complaint about this machine is that it can't spin heavy items well at all. If you have jeans or more than two bath towels, even with the extended spin selected, the clothes come out SOAKING wet. That is inexcusable.
I just put a load through a third spin because the towels were dripping so much water when I went to put them in the dryer. That's why I came here. I expect better.
The machine should be able to handle a load of laundy including jeans and towels. In fact, the machine should be handle a load of just towel or just jeans or a combination of both.
After all the years that GE has been making washers, GE should know how to test a product for key features before putting it on the market.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
