Good washer so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife chose this washer because it has all of the features she needs, is simple to use. No fancy doodads that increase the risk of something going wrong. We also purchased the matching dryer. My wife said it takes about 15 minutes longer to wash than the older washer did, but takes about 10 minutes less to dry and the clothes come out dryer than what they use to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit has new electronic motor drive technology which is very quiet. I also like the automatic water level setting and ease of doing multiple loads - no need to pull out and turn the dial each time as in the past; just keep it on the same setting (if that's what you want) and hit the start button.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good machine, but has some deficiencies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am from the old school when it comes to washing machine, ie. you need lots of water and agitation. If you don' have those two things, you can,t get heavy soiled clothes and rags clean!!!!! Even when you select "Super," you barely have enough water. Also, the agitation is not what my old Maytag had! Having said all that, it does good on normal soiled clothes. Heavy soils need to be sprayed with something like Oxi Clean or what ever you use and maybe hand scrubbed before starting cycle. This washer is probably the best option in the traditional washers, it just takes getting used to selecting longer cycles and higher water levels than older top loaders. I have not had this machine long enough to speak to quality and workmanship. Normally GE produces good quality, but lately I have seen write ups with their products that makes me wonder if GE is slipping. Only time will tell!!!

Not happy with this washer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very unhappy with my new washer. Makes lots of noise. Sounds like freight train coming thru house when spins. Makes loud noise like missed a gear when filling and during cycles. Water level never matches my amount of clothes. I refer to water loading on lid. Wish I had my old washer back. Too late noe.

Worse machine EVER!

Having now read tons of reviews, in my opinion this machine should be recalled & never sold again. I have only had it 2 months, repairman has replaced the computer & agitator motor 10 days ago. Today it began overfilling once again, either turn off the water to machine or it will overfill all over your floor!
At this point I am waiting to hear back from GE, would like my money back!

Quiet Washer

Bought this model May 2012 and motor died July 2013. Also had constant problems with the start button which had to be pressed at just the right angle or it wouldn't work and sometimes I just gave up in frustration and waited an hour to try again when it might work (or not). Never cleaned well either and had to wash many loads twice. Totally dissatisfied with this product and must go out and buy another new washer this evening. Because of this experience, I know it won't be a GE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer cleans clothes well but, the spin cycle is so loud and shakes the machine so much you swear it's going to fall apart. The washer has been check and level in both directions and still shakes. Just a bad design by GE. Sorry I bought this sorry excuse for a higher end wash machine.
