Until buying this washer, I had not had much experience with GE appliances, other than some small appliances. The washer had very good reviews, which influenced me to buy it. So far, so good. It's been a little bit of a learning experience with this washer. It's got a huge washtub, but you only get to use half its' depth, so kind of deceiving. Does a decent job of getting our clothes clean. Only time will tell how durable it is. My last washer lasted me over 20 years.

This is the nosiest washer we have ever owned. The only quiet cycle is "OFF", sounds like a jet landing in our house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
