I do not like the fact the tub doesn't fill up to accommodate clothing - huge tub, but the water only fills 1/4 of the way up
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

initial problem now totally resolved

at first i had a problem with the water not draining out of the washer at the end of
the process. the clothes were drenched. a repairman came and told me to space the
clothing out better....it did not help. another repairman came and he told me that the
sink's drain was clogged and the water was not emptying. that turned out to be it...
now i make sure the drain is clear and the washes have been fine.
i do notice
that
when i use hot water that steam comes out of the top of the washer. so i have only
now been using cool water. is it okay for steam to be coming out?
i really like both
my ge washer and dryer.

Energy saving & efficient!

We decided to try GE and so we purchased this washer. We are so impressed that I can't wait for the dryer to pass away! The machine runs quietly, but most of all it CLEANS everything! GE has obviously improved a lot over the years and I'm really glad we have rediscovered GE!
