I bought this washer in June of 2014. I am not very please with it. When I do washes in hot water, the water doesnt come any higher then 6 inches in wash tub. I called GE they said this is normal to save water. Well, When I wash my sheets and blankets they dont come clean. Forget washing a comforter the water didnt cover half. And as for saving water, Our water bill went up $60 since I have had it. Because now I have to do more small loads to get the whites clean. Im very disapointed. As far as the colors I use cold water. The tub fills up only half ways.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Positives: 1) I appreciate all the different features this washer offers.
2) The drum is very large. Therefore it is so easy to wash our queen size comforters at home now instead of taking them to a laundromat to use their large washers. They come out beautifully.
Negatives: 1) I wish that the washer had a mini basket for hand washables. All of my GE washers have had one in the past. I miss that.
2) This washer takes much, much longer to complete the cycles. However with the extra spin cycle, less time is needed in the dryer. I still wish it didn't take so long to complete the washer's cycles because I hang a lot of our clothes out on the line. Meanwhile I'm strumming my fingers waiting for it to complete the last cycle.
3) The drum is so deep that it is very hard to reach the clothes in the bottom of the drum. I didn't notice this in the store. Call it a "senior moment". :) I am 5'3" and have to get on my tippy toes and still stretching with my finger tips to get all of the clothes out. My fault though for not noticing this prior to purchase.

Great washer!

Very happy with this new washer. It uses less detergent and gets the laundry clean. Spin cycle at the end really gets the water out and makes the drying time shorter.

My dream washer !

I have missed having a washer with an agitator and finally found a great one in this GE. I like the option of chosing the water level myself but sometimes I let the GE decide. This washer spins the laundry so dry it saves dryer time. I prefer the simplicity of this washer It has every feature I need and more.

h machine operates on different technology where it is pressure washed. The machine is quiet to the point where it sounds like it stopped working. Clothes are cleansed and no complaints about this machine. Love it!
