Tired of Fixing Upgraded Washers

I have had Cabrio and Kenmore Elite washers and normally bought the upper end of the lines. Enough is enough. Face it ladies and gentlemen, washers are made to last about 10 years max. None are better than the others. Now I turn a knob instead of push a button. Do I have less cycles, etc. that I never used, Yes. Does it matter, NO. This washer is a great machine. Stainless Steel tub and multiple spin, heat, etc. options. Great Value.

GREAT FEATURES

We retired our old Hotpoint (made by GE) washer and kept the gas dryer because it still works so well. Both appliances are 26 years old and never had a service call on either one. The new washer has similar features as the old, but really like the auto load sensing, stainless steel tub and the HydroWave quiet agitator wash system.

Our old washer was practically the same only noisier (before it completely died) and had a bit less cu.ft. The advantage that the old one had: more "energetic" cycles, i.e. it would work the load harder, would actually "suck in" the load and move it around quite a bit, did not rely so much on the passive action of the detergent. I understand the evolution in washing technology, but sometimes some pieces of clothing are not moved and pulled under the water at all. If and when I see it, I would stir it by hand. It is possible that we wash more often because of that. Otherwise, the washer is great.

Oh so clean!

We have had this washer for several months now and could not be more happy. With two little ones, we are constantly washing sheets, clothes, etc. so we needed a machine that was up to the challenge. This washer met our needs at a price we were very happy to pay. I highly recommend this product! Next on the list: the dryer!

Efficient, quiet, pleased so far

Was initially skeptical of HE-type washers based on friends comments. Did lots of research and read lots of reviews and bought the GE 3.9 cu top loading model, and am very pleased. I like the option of manually selecting the load size/water level, but have found that the auto select feature cleans just as well. I've had the washer for a month so cannot report on reliability or durability, but am very pleased so far.

Great Machine

It has been 15 years since we purchased a washing machine. GE has hit the jackpot with this model. It works great and is very efficient and quiet. Did not know that it was even working. All clothing came out super clean

Lots of water levels

I think it does make a lot of different noises. Thank goodness you sent a cheat sheet with all the explanations for the extra sounds. Cleans well. wished it used more water on some of the levels.
