I purchased this washer because it still has the agitator inside. It is a large capacity and I can set my own water levels.

not enough water to wet clothes

The instructions posted on the washer say you can almost fill the tub with clothes. However, on both the automatic fill selection and Super water level, only the bottom quarter of the tub fills with water. After agitating for a few minutes, if you look in, the clothes on top are not even wet. Occasionally (even with the same amount of clothes) after a few minutes of agitating, it will add a bit more water. I have had to make my loads much smaller. On a positive note, It does get these clothes clean, and the washer is quiet.

I bought this washing machine to replace my 2 year old HE top loader. I was very, very disappointed with how my HE top loading washing machine performed. I LOVE this new GE washer! Now my clothes are clean again, whites are white, and I can adjust the water level to whatever I want. I can not tell you how much difference having an agitator back, makes for a much better cleaning machine, and cleaner clothes! I hope GE continues to make their washing machines with an agitator and adjustable water levels!!!

we have only had this a week but have washed several loads in it. It is quiet and does a good job, however it is not as good at spinning out the water from the cycle as our old machine and we have to run a spin cycle a 2nd time, this should not be necessary except on bulky loads but seems to be that way on all items

I like the stainless steel tub and the large capacity. The fact that there is an agitator clean the clothes better. The ability to choose water level or let the machine choose.
