Great washer for the price

Just had this washer installed today. The tub has way more room in it than we thought. Have washed 3 loads so far, and it has done a great job. A little noisier than we would have liked, but hey, it's a clothes washer...not like it's gonna be running all the time. Hope for many years of trouble-free service.

Things I Don't Love:
Never know how much water it will fill. It must have a sensor (even when I don't choose the automatic sensor) that tells it how much to fill. Clothes seem clean and have no residue - so I guess I can't complain. Just doesn't seem possible to really get the clothes clean with so little water. (And yes, I did read the instructions and ran two cycles on Speed Wash before using).
If you change your mind mid-cycle, it will drain the tub and fill it again - which means new
detergent, etc.

Well Built Quality Machine / American Made

I wanted a simple agitator type of washer. I was dreading getting a new one because I didn't want the new Impeller type. I really wanted an old fashioned agitator. This GE has all of the features I wanted! It has an agitator and I my clothes come out nice and clean. I can lift the lid and throw in something I forgot to add. Many of the newer models won't let you do that! Besides the automatic water sensor it also has a manual water level so you can make the water the level you want it!! It is much quieter than my old machine. about a month now and I love it!
