This washer is 14 months old and already has stopped working. It doesn't agitate or spin now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This washer does the job. Price and features add up to a super value. Cleans and spins the clothes so well as to cut down on drying time. We like that it still comes with an agitator bar.

HATE this Washer

Bought it in 2012. Have never been happy with its performance. Do not like the water level options and it is extremely hard to interupt a cycle and start it over again. This is the worst machine I have ever had.
