Great Washer

I've had this machine for several months and am so glad that I bought it. It gets my clothes super clean, with less water, and more drying than my old one ever did. This is also saving me on drying time because the spin is so superior. Even though it says to use an extra rinse when using fabric softener, I found it works just fine with the regular rinse.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this about 6 months ago...makes all kinds of clicking/clanking noises. I do like the capacity - seems to hold lots of clothes. I have trouble with hoodie strings getting entangled around the agitator. There are soooo many settings that it gets annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This GE washer is a good example of what NOT to buy. You get what you pay for and I wish I would have spent a few extra bucks for a machine that does what it is supposed to. I had an older GE washer which lasted over 12 years, so thinking that the new version would be just as good was not the right conclusion. Here are a few of the problems: The water level does not fill correctly. If you open the lid after starting or change the load setting, the washer starts over or gets 'out of sync' during the wash cycle. You will end up having to use the drain / spin cycle to get water out of clothes. It is VERY noisy during the spin cycle, think small jet engine and noise complaints from your neighbors. My clothes appear to be getting damaged probably due to getting stuck on or under the agitator during the spin cycle. Overall, poor build quality with the control panel. I wish I had something good to say about this washer being that it is 'Made in the USA', but I just don't agree with the positive ratings that others are giving it. Purchased November 2014.

Great Basic Washer

This washer is great - it's easy to use, and has all the functionality I need. I especially like the auto-sensor for your loads, so it can determine how much water, etc. it needs. Washes my clothes very well. It can be fairly loud sometimes, but that's my only complaint.

This washing machine has so many great features and it gets my clothes really clean with less water. GE makes there products better each year thats why i owned them for years.
