Awful doesn’t clean anything

I bought this a month ago and have never been more disappointed in a machine in my life. It doesn’t clean. It doesn’t fill up with water(which is supposed to be a smart feature) and clothes come out still dirty. Worst washing machine ever.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not enough water being put in!

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago on the recommendation of my sister when my Whirlpool stopped working, and I wish I had bought something else. This machine is too small for my family of 4 and DOES NOT put in enough water to thoroughly wash the clothes. I ALWAYS have to add water to large loads or make smaller loads so I'm not saving money on water or electricity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor washing machine

The machine washes great but I have had it only 4 years and the bearings have gone out for the second time yesterday. It sounds like a freight train on the spin cycle for a few days and then completely stops. I had the bearings replaced in 2/17 and they are out again. I can't keep paying the repair bills for bearings replacement. I believe this machine is a LEMON.

love the extra water levels

Needed new washer that would wring clothes better, this washer does the job, even has an extra cycle if needed. Just wanted something simple and reasonably priced, this fit the bill. Very pleased and satisfied with all the options, (even though I don't use them all). Especially like the multiple water temperatures and love the extra basket space. Have washed bedspreads, blankets and even a 4'x6' bathroom rug with no problems. Only had for a month, and very satisfied to date.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Job GE

After 8 years of using another brand I finally find a washer I can open up the lid and see the water and clothes swishing around. I like how I can pick the load size or have the auto load do it for me. The super size load is awsome. I have used it for bedspreads and they come out so clean. The options are plentiful on this machine. I really like the power rinse. Great Job GE.

Great when not eating sheets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer does a great job of cleaning clothes. I had an HE without an agitator previously and the clothes would end up all twisted at the end of the spin cycle. So we went back to a basic agitator type and are happy with the way the clothes finish. Unfortunately, we have had a problem 30 days after purchase that a bedsheet was caught under the agitator and coupler and was ruined. GE Service came out and replace the coupler only to have it occur again in another 30 days. GE replaced the coupler and the agitator and so far is working. I just received a phone message that they have had this problem with other of these models and want to schedule service for replacing the motor. I will schedule and hope for the best. If it should happen a 3rd time, I will need to look for a better unit. Wish I could give a better rating at this time. Hopefully, GE has found the problem and all will be good after the next repair. I still have faith that it will be resolved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a family with active kids, this washing machine has been great. Compared this to other brands with similar specs, but did not find any that beat the price or the total package. Love the stainless steel tub especially.

Good But Not Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine replaced my old GE. It is nice and has a large capacity but the water doesn't fill up to the top, only about 70% of the way. So I feel while it is promoted as a 'large capacity' washing machine you really can't fill it all the way full. I know it doesn't have to be full on all loads, but it would be nice to have the option to fill it all the way for larger loads, such as blankets.
I have had issues with the agitator as well, a nightgown got stuck underneath and had to have a technician come and fix it. It also makes a loud cracking noise from time to time.
As far as the features, they are very simple to use and I really like that. The appearance is a nice clean white and it is easy to wipe off and clean if you get something on it, such as laundry soap down the front. It does not streak after you clean the outside of it.
Overall, I feel the quality is about 85%. I would like to see it fill full if I needed that. I did pay extra money for a 'large capacity' washing machine. I would probably purchase another GE but definitely not this model.
