Washes Very Well

I bought this washer about a month ago and so far I am very pleased with it. I had been using a new high efficiency washer that didn't wash well and left my clothes in knots. This machine is the standard agitator which unfortunately companies are doing away with, and I am so happy I was still able to get one after using several HE models with unsatisfactory results. It has the option to use the water sensing selection where it senses the amount of water necessary for that size of load and it works very well allowing enough water for the clothes to move around but not too much causing waste. It also spins shockingly fast and has a setting for extra spin time which is great for jeans and towels. This washer spins more water out than my HE machines did in the past and the drying time is noticeably shorter. I hope this washer holds up for a long time because that is how long I plan to have it.
The only negative I would give on this machine is that the agitator fins are not attached to the the agitator at the bottom leaving a space where things like straps or ties etc could get caught up. I hope this doesn't become a problem.

Love this washer--with one exception

I chose this washer because I wanted a non-locking lid. Second, I liked the variable washing options. However, I do not appreciate the auto water level. Even though there is a water level knob/control, I am unable to get washer at "maximum" water level. The water level automatically stops when it reaches the top of the loaded clothes. The user manual states it's due to the energy feature, but had I known this prior to purchase, it would have likely been a deal-breaker. Just like the non-locking lid feature, I like control over the water level.

I reviewed all the appliances and the fancy digital and computerized ones had frequent and very expensive maintenance and repairs. I love the options On these machines and they both come with great reviews.

My husband and I read many reviews for this particular washing machine. After reading both the pros and cons, we decided to go shopping and look for ourselves. So glad that we did. We were sold immediately! This washer has a great, simple look, several options and many different cycles. So different from our old agitator washer. Being that this is classified as high-efficiency, I'm really happy that we still decided to purchase an agitator washer. It's gentle on the clothing, even though the motor has a lot of power! Our clothes are much cleaner and smell very fresh. The dials on the control panel are so easy to use. I also love the push button start. This washer certainly meets our expectations...and then some.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Clicking Machine

This is my second GE Washing Machine purchase. The first GE Profile I purchased 16 years ago and it finally gave out, I firmly believe if I had not let my teenagers us the machine it probably would have lasted another 5 years.
With that being said, I purchased another GE Washing Machine, because I absolutely loved the last one.
I've only had this washer for approximately 3 weeks, although it gets the job done most of the time with one cycle, there are times I have to wash the same load of clothes twice. I never had to wash a load of clothes twice with the last GE Washer. It also makes loud ticking/clicking noises when transitioning through the wash cycle.
This washer will have to do for now! I am not completely satisfied with the washer but for the price it will do!

I love this washer!

This washer is absolutely everything that we need. There are so many features to use and cleans your clothing so nicely. I was a bit scared to use the "hand" feature as I wash all my "hand" wash in our wash tub, but it worked wonderfully!
I would recommend this washer to family and friends...Great appliance.
