i have this model for one and ahalf years .i had nothing but trouble with it.i am looking for another washer and its not gona be g.e.

Hate it. I wanted an agitator and control over water level. This machine has an agitator and the water level dial has Auto Sensor, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large and Max as options. NOT TRUE!!!! Even on the Max setting the machine barely fills half way. No where on the exterior of this machine does it say it is HE. It is listed as Standard NOT HE on the GE website. Takes forever to run a load too. Bought it yesterday - returning it today!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have had GE washers for 44 years. Clean great and are very reliable. Had little to no repairs.

We wanted a simple washer like our old one but found that simple is no longer available. This thing has a mind of its own! Once we learned how it was programmed, we found it was a pleasure to use.

Not what I expected

I've had this washer for about 7 months and am very disappointed in it. If all you need is to remove odors and freshen your clothes, it may do the job, but my husband has a lawn service and his clothes are DIRTY. I presoak his jeans in a laundry tub before washing them in this washer or they don't come clean at all. I also need to rinse them twice. The water level is very low (even on the highest setting) and the drum is huge. That makes no sense to me. I thought I was getting a large capacity machine, but I can only wash 2 pair of blue jeans at a time. The cycles take a very long time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
