Purchased this washer 5 months ago and am very happy with the performance. The only thing I miss is the digital gauges I had on my previous GE washer.

Nobody told me this washing machine didn't agitate like a normal one. It swishes. Ever so gently. So how is it supposed to get clothes really clean and rinse the soap out? GE claims it to be "whisper quiet" washing. They didn't tell you that the spin cycle sounds like a jet engine taking off. I would not recommend buying this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would have given it 5 stars except that the water shuts off when you open the machine. I like to add the soap while the machine is filling.
