I bought this washer about 6months ago and it has performed admirably. It has a stainless steel tub, which is great. I also like the way it fills with water, it pours in while the tub turns so you get a better balanced soak. It has the features i wanted at a price I could live with. It fills up like a non HE machine or it automatically senses the load size for you and adjusts accordingly. I have had it go out of balance when I was washing a bath mat , it made a loud bang, bang bang, so I stopped the washer, repositioned the mat and it was fine. I also like how the washing motion is longer, it sounds like wheeeszzah wheeeszzah not chug chug chug. I think that makes it more gentle on my clothes thankother agitation based washers like whirlpool
I would recommend this to a friend!

This machine uses too little water, therefore have to do several small loads instead of one big load. Have to wash comforters and blankets several times because the machine only partially washes them.

While I understand the need for energy efficiency and conserving water, the new washers are creating problems for folks my age. We initially bought another brand which was returned because of problems getting enough water in the machine. We bought this one because it had the tallest cleaning spindle, which we were told meant we could use a higher level of water for washing. The washer seems to have a brain of its own ( as it ignores mine) doing its own thing, making strange noises at different times, sometimes leaving suds after a rinse, sometimes failing to remove enough water after a spin cycle, etc. Maybe its just too technically advanced for us. Its hard to say for sure, but it is taking more watching and listening and checking on our clothes than any older machine we ever had. We did almost as well with the old wringer on the top model (remember them).

This has to be the worst machine I have ever had. One half of the dial has a soak cycle, put your soap in ,it runs a minute and dump your soap out. It is hard on clothes, not enough water. When it spin, my whole house shakes.

We purchased our GE Washer a few months ago and couldn't be happier! It runs quietly, it cleans super well, the door can be opened to add something to the load mid-cycle. It's just super to have a conventional washing machine!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst washer EVER!

To start with,Makes too much Noise! Wash level is supposed to have less water than rinse; NOT SO! Water level fluctuates so much, I have to use 'pause' to check each load several times. Thought it would overflow machine on small load, then the rinse did not cover clothes & not enough water or agitation to even wet all the clothes on Large load wash OR rinse. Very time consuming to check wash & rinse on every load! Not to mention having to use the "quick rinse" (which rinses twice & takes another hour to use) to finish a load because I still smell too much detergent (yes, I use only what is recommended by my he detergent) and clothes still do not look clean. Don't get me started on how wrinkled and twisted up clothes are and 1/2 the time I have to use 'Drain & Spin' to remove excess water when trying to remove clothes OR the other 1/2 the time I must 'pry' them out and unknot! The REAL CLINCHER is why do they have 'SOAK' FOR COLORS control and NOT FOR WHITE control?! Nothing like having your colors bleed and whites look dingy!
I will never buy a GE product again after this experience & will sell it at a BIG loss just to get rid of it! Will also check more of the 1 & 2 STAR experiences for products being sold from now on, since I have found THEY know the real problems to look for with new appliances being sold to unsuspecting consumers!
