So far so good....

Have only used the washer for one weekend. Getting used to a new product is not easy. I chose it because I could choose the water level and also open the lid - old habits are hard to break. I am a little concerned about the slow agitation or what seems like slow to me - my former washer of 15 years was very fierce in its agitation and I always equated that to get my clothes really clean. Still getting used to the water level even though I am choosing it. Instructions do say the water will not fill like the older models. Still worries me there is not enough water to get the job done (again old school). But with everything being said, clothes came out clean and I will have to adjust to what I was used to and what I have now. Hopefully this will continue to be a great product and I will be proud that I chose GE!

Not happy yet...

The cold water fill is very slow. I don't ever wash in hot water, but when I switch the water setting to hot, it comes out normal, then switch back to cold, it slows down and dribbles out of maybe 5-7 holes...
Then once it finally does fill, I have to hit the "start" button again so that it goes to the wash cycle (it doesn't do this automatically for some reason)... I think something is wrong or needs to be reset, help please.

Bought GE Washer based on positive past experiences with GE appliances (have several + '81 vintage dryer) Terrific in every way *except* barrel is a bit deep for my shorter spouse to reach into and spin cycle is a bit loud. (Wash cycle is nicely quiet)

This has been probably the best washer we have ever purchased. Love the auto fill level and the extended spin cycle. Clothes come out much dryer and take less time to dryin the dryer.
