This is a great washer

I had this washer and it only lasted two years. I still wanted the same one and did take an extended warranty this time. Now if it doesn't last but two years again, I will have to give up liking it and find something with endurance in its engineering.

I looked at several models at the appliance store. All other appliances in my home were GE and I liked the quality so I looked at this for my new washer and dryer. The washer has many new features like automatic water level control that I am still getting used to. It seems that more water should be in the tub but clothes are clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought after having the "greatest and latest" front load LG washer and dryer . washer started getting mold around front seal and started stinking my clothes got rid of it and went back to traditional style washer love my new washer feel like my clothes are cleaner and fresher!!! Highly recommend. And of course I had to purchase the dryer to match look beautiful in my home!

Tangles, Twists & Knots clothes

I had a GE washer, simplest model, for 16 years, worked fine, was loud only when spinning. Motor damaged, so I bought this model, again was looking for a simple washer. I don't have water level problem like others complain, I always use manual setting & do not add as much clothes. Although this model has extra-large & super size load, it still is smaller than my previous washer's extra-large load. My issue is with all my clothes getting tangled when the load is done, be it long pants' legs, long sleeve shirts, they all get tangled, twisted & knotted. Sometimes, I even open the lid during washing just to separate them & then continue. But my major issue is: undershirts (men's or women's) straps get stuck under agitator & during spin cycle it gets stretched, deformed, damaged & loses elasticity. I don't know why GE changed the agitator attachment style (previous one was sealed to the bottom) & this one is not, thus leaving space for clothes to get under it. All my husband's A-shirts & my undershirts with straps have been ruined. And I always make sure the water covers clothes & more & they are not all snug together to tangle. Also this machine is noisier then the previous models (although they claim it is "sound free") it makes noise when washing, clicking noises then changing gears & spinning. And I am not able to change the wash options once the water starts filling, it just drains the entire thing. Older version was much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
