good multi washing options, stainless steel tub good quality, love the option for HE or non HE, we wanted an agitator and this one works well, deep water rinse a bonus option; the store where we purchased matched the competitors price, so we bought the matching dryer. So far we love both GE products.

I got this because I wanted a stainless steel drum with an agitator. I wasn't crazy about the idea of the amount of water it uses, because I was worried that my clothes would not get clean. BUT have no fear. This is an AWESOME little washer - perfect for everything from sheets and towels and jeans and regular clothes to my husbands very dirty mechanic bib overalls. Works fine for a regular size blanket BUT if you have really big or heavy blankets, I would still recommend going to a laundromat with a large front loading machine. This one does everthing I need though and I am very pleased with it!

I always buy GE but I do not like the features of this machine, the reduced water, the absence of the end of cycle signal, and not having a choice for a second deep rinse without having to choose it after the wash is over, nor a timer showing me how much time the wash cycle has till it is done. If I want to change the cycle choice while the water is coming into the tub, it will waste water by emptying the tub and starting again. Because of the reduced water I have to do two loads instead of one load using more time, soap, and water. (sigh) I should have repaired my old machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I do not like that I can't fill it with water to the point that I would like to. What the government is saving in water is being lost in a longer wash time.
