Does not fill with water to the appropriate level.

If I set for maximum capacity it only fills about half. I'm forced to run smaller loads but set it to fill to max

Not Happy!

I bought this washer in May 2014 along with the matching dryer. I learned yesterday (November 2016) from a repairman, who came out to determine why it was so loud during use, that it will cost more to repair ($511) than it cost to purchase ($494). Gearcase and agitator shaft need replacing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will never buy GE again

Ruined tons of clothes. We have to replace a new washer and dryer do to it putting tiny holes in our clothes or sometimes even larger holes. Total Junk

Short life

We purchased this les than 2 years ago, it worked well but started leaking water on the floor from bad tub seal which in turn damaged the primary bearing. Sounds like a helicopter taking off in my laundry room. I expected better from GE. Not buying GE anymore.

Destructive

This is by far the worst washer machine ever. I am still having to pay on it which sucks because I need a new one. This washer has destroyed some of my sheets and a few of my clothes. The fins broke off which resulted in the shredding of items. I have had problems with the machine leaking and now it has messed up my carpet. This was the first washer that I bought brand new thinking I was making an investment but it ended up being a complete waste of money. I do NOT recommend this product to anyone. I thought the name GE was supposed to provide great quality but I was wrong.

Bought 4 years ago and it would still be running great if my husband didn't jack with it all the time, or think he had to be McGyver with it! It stopped agitating....he says it's a wire 3+ months later! Help! I need my washer. I love it! Any suggestions???

I have had this machine for Also 4 years and the and the bearings fell apart in the "shaft assembly". My old GE washer lasted 30 years, you would think the new ones would last more then 4 years.
