I like this washer because it is simple and easy to use. It is great for kids who want to learn how to do their own laundry.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just What I Was Looking For

Was looking for a washer with an agitator as I was expecting a baby and planned to cloth diaper, so an agitator was essential for diaper laundry. It was SO hard to find an old-school agitator, but not only did this washer have that, but it was a good price, and had the extra features I was looking for- a delicates and hand wash setting! The bonuses for this washer include the "auto load sensing" feature, which ensures water isn't wasted and you can truly put as many or few items in at a time, and the "tap cold" setting, which means I'm not using extra hot water or power to make the water a different temp than what it is... The only complaint I have, and it's minor, is that I always use the "auto load sensing" feature, and you have to have the machine loaded and turned on then the lid shut before the water will start, and using liquid detergent on the regular clothes, I like to have the water coming out as I'm putting the detergent in so I can rinse out the cap... now I have to go to the sink to rinse it out, but it's really minor compared to how much I love this washer!!

I cannot believe you made a washing machine without a buzzer, what a pain to have to keep checking to see if the wash has finished. A buzzer is a necessity on all washers!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Washing Machine

The Model GTWN4250DWS is the best of having some control and having the benefits of the Auto sensing to set the water level when you want to let that happen. I find that most beneficial for small loads. The tub is huge! I like the slimmer agitator because it operates in the manner I am accustomed, but because it is slimmer, I can get larger items in and out easily. I called the Answerline several times prior to selecting this model over the newer fully computerized models. I learned that the White cycle gets the most water and to use that when washing bathroom rugs. I have done that twice for 3 bathrooms successfully. I also learned if I wanted truly HOT water to just turn the cold off to avoid any mixing of cold with it. I have some dirtier items that for hygiene reasons I want HOT water. I use the Pause option to allow the water to mix with the detergent a little before putting the clothes in ( the instructions tell you to select the water level, temperature, put the detergent in, add the clothes and then start the machine. By allowing some water to go in and mix with the detergent, I feel the fabric will last longer and it is more like the process I was accustomed to following. I also use the Pause to add things to the load. It makes a bit more noise than the old machine but it spins at 700 rpms to get the water out. I can accept that to gain dryer clothes. In the end, I am saving about 10-15 minutes per load of dry time because it spins out more water. In addition to myself, my husband and 21 year old daughter have used this machine and are impressed. WE are VERY Happy with this model and highly recommend it. I hope this model stays in production for several more years.
