The appliance came with the Senior Co-Op we purchased last summer. Although the washer seems to function OK, it is very noisy and seems to be very low in quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love all the cycle choices!

I chose this washer because it was a GE, made in the USA and offered a delicate cycle! It does a great job washing everything from towels to delicates. The only drawback is that this washer is extremely noisy! The rinse and spin cycles sound like an airplane taking off! My mom has the same washer (purchased the same day from the same store) and hers is quiet, so I know ours was the "less than perfect one" in the batch. Overall, it does a good job.

Great simple to use washer

Really happy with our new GE washer. No bells and whistles...not of the computer age, this machine...just easy to use, gives great results. Has a huge capacity and because of this, the tub is very deep so may be difficult for very short people to reach the clothes at the bottom.

Lots of room for big loads

I purchased a high tech washer that was not GE. I returned it the next day. This washer has all features you need. It is easy to set your settings and they all work great. GE brands hold up the best for me. I had tried other brands and once I found GE that is what I am staying with because of reliability.
