I have a question

My washing machine has been working fine, however, all of a sudden the water overflows and it will not spin. When I put in on the drain cycle, it will drain, just won't spin. When I unplug the washing machine the water continues to flow, I had to turn off the water from the spicket. Any thoughts????

We specifically chose this machine to best match our 25 year old unit we were loath to replace. A very tricky chore with the intense digital computerization of the edge products. Precisely what we did not want. We fell in love with this machine immediately. It is user friendly, has an awesome load capacity, with a simplified yet adequately technically sufficient control panel and functions. We were warned by our appliance guy as to the delicate complicated technology in all of the newer product lines so we were fortunate to have a clear image on what we wanted only to arrive at this machine which fulfilled all of our expectations and desires. Well done Ladies (let's face it the women are smarter) and of course al you Gents as well! Bravo! Well done! TYVM!

worst washer EVER

Ive had the repair man come 3 times. The machine will not drain and leaves soapsuds. since it doesn't drain, you have to wait a full day in between washes. It works when it wants. Sometimes it will make a crank noise when its spins if you don't let it rest in between washes calling a repairman is money down the drain. I specifically bough a cheap machine because all the smart machines breakdown faster. Little did I know that a Smart machine would be better than this. And don't get me started on the dryer. Had that repaired too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have owned this washer for 5 years and its going to the curb already. It rusted out around the bleach cup and screws snapped off on the drum and the ultimate is the motor blew. This was with below normal use. I always respected GEs products, American made, ect , now never again . Very disappointed.
