[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased out washer and drying about 3 months ago, and we love them! They are very efficient, relatively quiet, and can handle large loads. They also are very god with delicates and "handwash" clothing items.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did need to get a replacement as the original delivered did not move from cycle-to-cycle. However the replacement works like a dream. I love the stainless steel on the interior. I would recommend. I also have a GE dryer for over 2 years and is working perfectly.

Great washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is great for those who like to set their own water level, but why should you the pre-set water levels work great.
The spin cycle takes out so much water the drying time is shorter.

not a bad machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After talking with the appliance clerk at local box office store, he explained that all new washers use only 22 gal. of water to wash clothes and this is a new govt. EPA law. That all washers will go HE soon. I have had only one problem with this machine since I purchased it in 06/2012. A mattress protector sheet got sucked under the agitator and wrapped around the post. Put a big hole in the sheet. Had to get used to the new way the washer only fills up with enough water to cover clothes a few inches above clothes level when the automatic water level is used. But you have an option to set the water level higher with the water level dial from small to super. Machine is quiet and gentle on clothes. Gets clothes very clean. I like the 3.9 size stainless steel tub. Can fit my queen size quilts in this machine with no problem and use the gentle or hand wash feature.

Great Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had not bought a washer/dryer for over 20 years! When preparing to purchase in April 2012 for a new house, we were surprised at all new models, options and features. After much research and visiting stores, we were no more convinced whether to buy high-efficiency or not, top loader or front loader, or which make. So we resorted back to the old stand-by...KISS(keep it simple stupid). We bought this model for the brand (GE is always solid) ease of features and our knowledge of traditional washers. The capacity was a big upgrade for us and we liked the stainless steel drum with no large agitator. We rated the performance as only good because the wash cycle is a little longer than we are used to. I guess this is typical of newer machines without the agitator, but the items do not take as long to dry. The matching dryer works great, also.

shortens dry time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] good product. takes a little getting used to some of the newer features (less water used). fairly quiet except for the clicking sounds it makes when washing. apparently that is normal with this type of washer. very fast spin cycle, gets towels and such alot dryer. Less time needed to dry clothes, so thats a plus. wash cycles are long, but there is a quick wash when needed.

Buy with Caution!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure if I would purchase this machine again. Be aware that if you change your mind about the type of cycle desired it will stop-drain and refill for the new selection. Also, it has gone beyond the desired fill setting more than once and filled to super when set for small load of wash! Did this also on the auto-fill setting when only a few items were in the tub! Seems to have a "mind of it's own" at times. When it's "in-the-mood" it will wash just fine and I love the options for extra spin, auto-soak, etc. We did go for the extended warranty however since we don't trust that this machine will be as "trouble-free" as brands we've
purchased in the past.

Washing longer, enjoying it less

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet is okay. Clothes come out dirty, dingy and with spots so I have to wash twice. It eats whatever is on the bottom of the load, Half of my pantyhose is trapped around the shaft. I had to rip them to get them out. The cycles are all over one to one and one-half hours long! I try using the quick wash and that is still too long, especially when the clothes do not come out clean. I like the fact that it is assembled in the US but I really wish I had done more homework before purchasing. I don't understand why there are so many different cycles. And the instruction book offers no help. If I have to set the water temperature separately, why are there different cycles for colors and whites, towels, and jeans? I don't understand the difference between the several different rinse settings either. Overall I wish I had never bought this washer. I probably won't have to endure it long, as I doubt it will last very long, with the way it wraps clothes around its shaft.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
