Just what I was looking for

We just purchased this washing machine yesterday, so it is a little too soon to tell how it will perform in the long run. We got a really great deal on this machine.
I made the mistake of letting my husband choose the last washing machine we purchased 14 years ago. I was actually glad when it finally stopped working and would have been more expensive to fix than it was worth. It was an HE, front loader. Sorry, but, I don't recommend that type of washer.
I like this washer because it has a very large, stainless steel tub. It has a variety of settings to fit the types of clothing, towels or bedding that you are washing. It, also, has a bleach and fabric softener dispenser. The spin cycle is amazing, you really save a ton of drying time which can save a lot of money on your gas or electric bill. It has a no lock lid. When you open the lid it automatically stops or you can press the "pause/stop" button. I love this feature. With my old front loader, if you forgot to add something you could not open the door unless you stopped the machine for at least 3 minutes or more. You had to open the door, throw in whatever you needed to add and clothes the door quickly because water would spill out all over the floor.
I hope that I feel the same in a year or two and that it will last as long as my last washer.

Have only had this washer for a short time but am very pleased with its features. Clothes are coming out cleaner, less water is being used, and it is QUIET !!

Excellent GE Washer

I purchased my GE washer in April 2013. I needed to replace my Maytag washer that I had for 15 years. I researched and selected and purchased this GE washer which had all the features I needed. I've owned GE washers in the past and have enjoyed the service they all provided me with no issues. I love this washer. I have not had any negative issues with it. It's very quiet and washes all my laundry very well. It's so quiet! Thanks again GE for a great top-loading full-featured washing machine.

Love this washing machine

This replaced a front loading washing machine. I've had it for 2 months and love this machine -- it's very quiet, handles a ton of wash, has lots of different cycles and is perfect for the 2nd floor laundry.

I just got this washer yesterday and I love it already. Finally a washer I can select for what I need.
I can select load size, extra rinse, extra spin, water temp.
The agitator is very gentle and its pretty quiet as well.
