[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this GE Washer as it has many features for your type of laundry. Has a very roomy tub and if you use the energy saving laundry detergent you will really appreciate what GE has put into this washer and what it can do for your clothes
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washer to replace a 17 yr. old Maytag which we really loved. We chose a top load machine with simple functions and dials because of the problems we have had with touchpad appliances, all brands. We really like the cycle options and easy operation. The load size is huge and we have not had problems with water level because we select based on the amount of load, not automatic sensor. The regular spin dry cycle really sheds the water. We use our regular liquid detergent due to sensitive skin issues in the family, but we dilute the liquid when adding and have had no problems. So far so good, but we have only had for a couple weeks. Only complaint would be that a regular load seems to take forever to run through the cycles, about 40min. compared to our prior Maytag at about 20min.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this washer in June, it was very quiet for about a week and then started going off balance every load. When I had a repair person service it, he found a large concrete block in the bottom rear of the washer that was not secure and had been causing the problem. The block had so much movement, several chunks had broken off. He was able to secure the block and balance the washer but it is still very loud when spinning. Plus the loud clicks which are supposed to be "normal" are very annoying. I expected much more for my money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to save on my water bill so I was determined to find a machine that had the option to set the water/load level. This model does and even has an 'auto load sensing' choice which I have yet to use. Sure, there are still stains to pretreat but I have been very impressed with the performance of this washing machine. No more rewashing dog blankets because they come out clean from the first wash. Oh, and no more wasting water! We live in an area that was included in the drought this year so water became very precious. The spin cycle works great. Less water weight means less time in the dryer = less electric bill. I win again! I like having options so my new machine had to have all the bells and whistles that the machine it was replacing had. This one does and at a fraction of the cost of the old one.(which incidentally came from a different manufacturer and wasn't that old -very disappointed.) The controls are easy to read and use and I've washed a variety of items using the different settings and not had any issues with having to re wash or re rinse. I also washed large items (blankets, quilts, pillows, etc,) and this machine handled them without any problems. I haven't had any incidents where it became off balance. The only hesitation I had was that this model comes with a stainless steel tub and I had heard that stainless steel tubs have issues with metal 'barbs' not being grounded off and delicates will catch on the barbs. I've washed many delicate items and none have done that. Kudos to the metal fabricators. This washing machine was easy to install and hook up to the water connectors. I was able to adjust the feet on the bottom so when it is running I barely hear it. In fact, it is in the same room as my computer desk and several times I've gotten up and leaned over to listen for the motor just to make sure it was still running. It does make the 'clicking' sound(as described in manual) and yes it does make mechanical noises in the spin cycle but I gather one would be hard pressed to find a machine that doesn't.

The features on this washer are outstanding and great value for the price. I love the ease of operation, and I am extremely pleased with how well it cleans all items. This washer runs so quietly that sometimes I forget it's operating. The high efficiency features (spin cycle especially) actually cuts down on drying-time in the dryer.

We bought this washing machine to replace a very expensive top of the line HE front loading washing machine that we bought as part of a set 10 years ago. Did not expect much from this new GE machine because less expensive. What a surprise because being able to chose energy effiencient or chose the water size for towels etc, made such a big difference!! I use energy effiecient when approriate, but have the choice to use water setting levels for things such as towels. I wash the towels and sheets on super wash and they are so much fresher and soft and smell so good. I love the choice of energy efficent or chosing the water level I want. I gave an overall 5 star rating, but only gave features a good rating because I would like a signal at end of cycle. I keep a baby moniter in laundryroom, so I can hear signal to know when to put clothes in dryer or hang up clothes as soon as dried. I highly recommend this washing machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer in June and since then it has broken down 4 times and eaten my very expensive Martha Stewart Sheets. It has had 5 parts replaced, (one of which was the motor) and all of which were on back order and took over a week to get here.

Bottom line is the clothes come out cleaner and softer and less wrinkled than my older model GE washer. After one washing, I could tell a big difference. I use the extra spin to make sure all the detergent is rinsed out. It is quiet and doesn't agitate as violently as my old one, but the clothes come out much better. I am very pleased with this product.
