I bought this dryer this past weekend and I'm so glad I did. I love the fact that is has the HE dry sensor and won't over dry my clothes.

This unit emits a loud constant droning sound and sounds like it is straining. The noise is so loud, the neighbors hear it thru the walls of the apartment. and are complaining. The door is extremely hard to open and I feel the handle will snap off just as our old unit did.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had this dryer installed in early October and I have been very happy with it ever since. It's reasonably quiet, very efficient, and has just the right number of options re time and temperature.

Wonderful dryer

Got a new GE washer a couple years ago, but kept on using our old Sears dryer as it had not died yet. When it finally expired, got the matching GE dryer. What a wonderful change! Everything is dry on one cycle, the "unwrinkle" works like a charm, and it is quick and quiet!

Disappointing

We bought this dryer and it worked fine for 40 days then it quit. Turns out the problem was a loose internal connection but it took multiple visits from repairman and 6weeks to get it working again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
