Lint trap doesn't work well

Bought this dryer 6 months ago, Had a GE dryer before and it worked well. This one has a lint trap that allows lint to collect all over the bottom of the door and all around the lint basket. Even when I remove the lint trap there is lint all inside the area and down into the area below. Otherwise it dries my clothes well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Drum noises

We had a GE serviceman out twice to fix the dryer, but it still makes noises when running. At first it had a scrapping noise, which he did fix, but now it starts making a "ker-THUNK, ker-THUNK" noise after 3 or 4 minutes of use. Re-positioning the clothes stops the noise for awhile, but it usually starts up again within another few minutes. The serviceman couldn't fix the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It drys very quick. I really like this dryer. When drying sheets, it does it in half the time of my old dryer.

I replaced another brand product with this GE product. I have purchased GE products previously and have always been extremely satisfied with performance and durability. This product is already performing great and I know it will for years to come.

Noisy with poor lint filter design

We purchased this dryer in November 2014; chose this model to fit in our kitchen laundry closet. It had a narrow depth and was advertised as quiet by design. Since we have had it, it makes an annoying hum, chirps intermittently and squeaks on every drum rotation. We have tried both light loads and heavy loads but it makes no difference. In addition, the lint screen is way too small and allows lint to fall below the catcher into the dryer. After you open the door, clothes spill out taking the lint with them. The lint also adheres to the door and door seal. Lint falls on the floor and inevitably goes beneath the dryer and plays hard to get. We gave it two stars because it does dry clothes with no wrinkles. Avoid purchasing this model if you have it in a space that is occupied frequently because the various noises are extremely annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
