Have had dryer for several months. It does a great job. Would prefer a better lint filter, but not too bad as is.

Received my dryer from my builder when i purchased a new home. The first dryer had a belt issue within 2 months of delivery and stopped working. Belt was backordered for about 3 months. I had to go back to my builder to receive a replacement dryer. The replacement dryer was delivered but it too is now 3 months old and makes a noise when starting to spin that the previous dryer did not. The auto dry sensor only seems to work about half of the time. I would not recommend this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I left my expensive dryer at a sold condo..this dryer is far superior and dries faster. Very satisfied.

It dries the clothes but makes a scubbing noise

I bought this back in October of 2014 to replace a GE dryer that was 14 years old. The older dryer was very similar to the new dryer except it never made an awful sound. I am a empty- nester now and this new dryer has not had to dry the amount nor the weight of clothes I ran through the old one when the kids were growing up.
Sometime in January when the dryer was about 3 months into use I started to hear a scrubbing noise near the back side of the dryer when the drum turns. This noise is so bad that it makes my dogs bark. I need to call and report it while it is under warranty but I dread dealing with the outsourced customer service. Maybe I will get lucky and get someone from the US that understands what I am trying to explain to them.
I have all GE appliances in the house and I am very disappointed in the quality and
workmanship of this dryer.

Meets my needs

Purchased this and matching washer, not only is it efficient and quiet unit, but was a good price. Delivery and install was on time. The dryer is nice looking dries fast, and has numerous settings. I prefer the sensor sitting. Thanks GE.
