I purchased this dryer a few months ago. It took extremely long to dry my clothing. In addition it was very loud!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had GE stuff before and had very good luck with them. Our builder has included GE appliance in our kitchen. So we bought the washer and dryer pair to have the same brand.

The door is difficult to open and close. The machine slides if I don't stand against it before I try and open the dr.

I bought this washer dryer set for my home and liked it enough to buy it a few months later for a beach condo. the only reason it didn't 5 stars is the door latch is a little flimsy and doesn't always catch.

Second GE dryer

This is the second GE dryer, the first one lasted 11 years. This model has functioned as intended, but has started making a noise from time to time. Will request service soon on it.
