Best dryer I have ever owned.

This dryer does a wonderful job of drying clothes. However, it's a bit of reach to retrieve the clothes--something to consider if mobility is an issue. Also, the inside dryer door collects small bits of lint which is an annoyance. Plus, occasionally drawstrings catch in a metal part above the opening. I'm not sure if this is unique to my dryer or was overlooked in quality control. I appreciate my husband for recognizing we needed a new dryer, just wish it were better constructed

We bought this dryer back in January. It drys the clothes well. I really like the optimal drying setting. I have two negatives: 1) The door seems to not close all that well anymore. I'll close it and hit the button to turn it on but it won't turn on. I have to reopen the door and basically slam it shut and then hit the start button again. 2) The lint tends to accumulate on the dryer door itself so I am constantly having to remove it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

works well. I needed to learn to use the heavy duty cycle when drying things
like towels. Also be sure the door is closed-the latch sometimes seems to take
a extra push

Quieter than our old one and has a buzzer

I appreciate the quietness and the warning buzzer but the best feature is the cool down with tumble so our clothes don't come out all wrinkled.

Worked almost 2 weeks before needing repaired

After slightly less than 2 weeks of working this dryer began having issues. It kept shutting off even though the clothes were still wet. A repairman came out and checked and said it needed a new sensor. He ordered one and about 2 weeks later he came and installed it. Problem solved? HA! After a few more weeks of working it started it again. repairman came out again. This time he said it needed a new motor. We are still waiting to have that installed. I would AVOID this shoddy model at all costs or at least until GE decides to vastly improve the quality of the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
