Used to dry well until the timer knob broke

The timer knob recently decided to stop working, even though it's only two years old. It doesn't seem like a big fix but with the cost of scheduling someone to come and fix it, plus parts and labor, we're looking at almost the expense of the whole dryer by the time all is said and done. Until now it had been working well. However, the knob seems to have worn down over time and stopped working altogether. We are unsure, as we can't tell what setting it's on, but the heating element may have stopped working as well. Again, it's only 2 years old and was a middle line model, not the bottom line.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this dryer recently instead of a larger more expensive one since I usually separate my wash loads into at least 2 dryer loads depending on the weight of each article of clothing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap plastic dial for dryer setting

I bought this dryer a little over a year ago. I realize it is an entry level dryer, so the settings are basic, but the dial used to set the settings has cracked and broken twice. The first time it happened, I wasn't sure why my dryer wasn't turning on, so I called an appliance repair service. It literally took the repairman less than 2 minutes to replace the dial and charge me $100! It has happened again and this time I am trying to order and replace the part myself. Could be one of the reasons GE is no longer selling this model.

Worked for 11 months then went out of alignment.

Got this in 2016 was a great deal. Today the drum is out of alignment an rubbing against something causing a burning smell. Trying to work with warranty services now to fix the issue. Will revise review once this is resolved.

Has some issues

Our dryer has had problems with replacing the drum and now overheating. It has been very costly to fix.
