Do Not Buy This Washer

We bought this washer only two years ago. This is the second time we've had to have it repaired. Luckily, we have an insurance policy to pay for the repair or we would have gotten rid of this piece of garbage. Both times the housing that covers the pump broke, causing it to leak water. We also bought the matching dryer and had to have it repaired within the first year as well. Samsung may make good electronics, but not appliances.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poorly designed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Product! Waiste of money!

With in the first year and a half had to get the shocks replaced a few months later the hose detached from the tub and flooded my laundry room, restroom and bedroom. Had that replaced and today the whole washer stopped working. Total waste of money. So upset with Samsung.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations

What a smooth running machine

It was hard to believe the machine was on, it was so quiet. So far I'm very pleased with this machine. I just hope it gives us many years of service.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive

This washing machine is total garbage. After only 18 months of use, the tub became completely unbalanced and knocked around inside so hard that it scraped all the plastic off of the tub at the top. The metal at the bottom of the tub began to separate and warp and my clothes got stuck between the metal pieces. I have never seen such a thing happen in a washer before. It did not have a large load of laundry in it either - I have a two-person household, so laundry loads are never large. Thank goodness I was able to unlock the machine to get the clothes out. I do not recommend this washer to anyone - it is still being sold in stores. Other reviews online indicate similar problems with this model. Samsung products have really gone downhill over the last few years. This is the 4th Samsung product that I have had huge issues with lately (cell phone, two TVs, and the washer). Never buying this brand again.

So far I have not had any trouble with this washer. I am used to the old washers that filled completely up to wash clothes. This one you can not fill with water while the door is open, therefore you can not wash out your soap cup. As to me there is not a lot of water to wash clothes, It does not have a setting for small med and large loads it senses and fills accordingly.
So in other words it fills with a smaller amount of water several times. That part is good, so your clothes is not washing the entire time in dirty water.

Does not rinse well

I am disappointed in this product because it doesn't rinse thoroughly. I can't control the water level. The clothes come out feeling a little soapy and sometimes there is white film on them. I was told to use less detergent, but this has not thououghly solved the problem.. Although it is less than a year old, I am considering replaceng it with a machine that allows me to control the water level and agitates the clothes better, perhaps one with a spindle

I like this, but have concerns

Overall, I would like to give this an excellent rating all around, but I had to have the pump replaced after about 20 months of owning this. (This seems to be a common problem, as I found it mentioned by several other owners on the internet.) Also, it doesn't seem to clean as well as it did at first, but that could be due to the pump breaking down. I will have to see as I wash more with the new pump. (but again, a common internet complaint.) The style is good, and I love all the different settings, especially the delicate/handwash cycle. There is also a self-cleaning cycle. It also handles nice big loads. The musical tones that play when a cycle is done is pleasant, and much nicer than a buzzer. Just keep in mind that this is an HE machine and needs only a little of the HE detergent, clothes spin at a high rate of speed, and will sometimes feel almost dry when you take them out. Keeping the top open between washes will keep away musty smells, as will running the empty machine with some bleach.
Pros: all of the different settings
Cons: pump breaks down quickly

This product does not get clothes clean

After owning a front loading he washer for many years I changed to the top load thinking it would be more efficient and not have the mildew odor around the door issue. While I no longer have that, what I have now is clothes that must be pre soaked with an added booster at least twice to get the clothes somewhat clean. Washing everything twice does not add up to water or time savings. I realize living on a farm, that our clothes may be dirtier than the average person but this machine does not touch even the regular normal grass stain. I wish I would have not passed my front loader on to my kids and since I did then have bought a machine with an agitator that gets clothes clean the first time. Do not choose this machine.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, does not clean
