Model # RF261BEAESR/AA. Purchased 7/20/2014
8/2015, water in crisper area. Technician replaced the drain clip for a bigger one.
1/2016 ice maker went out. Not working.
3/2016 gasket around the freezer ripped and now it forms a vaccuum and you have to wait for 5 minutes every time to open the freezer.
3/2016 freezer handle broke off.
4/2016 trays on door are cracking. Having to supper glue them so they will not break completely.
Worst refrigerator I have owned.

We shopped around for a long time looking for the right balance between price and features and this was a great find for us. The deli tray is awesome and you can set it according to what you have in it at the time. The deli drawer opens completely even when the doors aren't able to open all the way. We squeezed this bad boy into a small space but we can still use all drawers and features which was unique to Samsung. The water inside the unit vs. in the door means you lose NO space inside which was key for us. You can turn the ice maker on and off to suit your needs. It is great, we love it!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Interior room during the Holidays

Love the size and storage room. During the holidays when preparing for large dinners, it is very nice to be able to prepare items ahead of time an have the room to store them before cooking. Really cuts down on the hustle and rush trying to prepare all at once to cook. Also has plenty of room for item that need to stay cool. My wife loves the room for storage and also the bottom freezer for the ice maker and also the room to store frozen items.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Fridge is very noisy

This new fridge seems to be working very well, however it is noisy and motor runs for a very long time and more often than our old one did.. It has an ice maker that I believe causes the fridge to make cracking and banging noises. You can even hear this from down the hall. When the fridge motor or fan turns on I think it is my air compressor firing up, in the garage. This is unfortunate as we love the style of our new fridge We have pressed the off button for the ice maker, yet it continues to make ice.
ps. Consumer Recommends this product. Why????

Refrigerator is still relatively new. The only negatives so far is the water/ice settings. The screen is pretty touch sensitive and sometimes the settings are hard to change. The slide out drawers are a bit unstable and awkward to operate at times.
Other than those complaints, we really enjoy the refrigerator.

Bought this Samsung 25.5 Cu Ft model RF261BEAESR refrigerator on Nov 12, 2013. This morning July 16, 2016, I came into the kitchen, loud refrigerator noise, opened the refrigerator and freezer doors, freezer contents soft, condensation dripping everywhere. The freezer seems to be broken. There are some nice refrigerator features but after approximately 2 years and 8 months of use, the freezer is broken!!! The lack of quality is unacceptable, have now read other reviews with the same and other issues, will never, never ever buy another Samsung product again, whether it is an appliance, smart phone, electronics, etc. etc. with a Samsung name, period.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

French Door Refrigerator

I replaced this refrigerator with a french door unit that had an ice maker and a water dispenser that took up way too much space in my refrigerator so I did NOT buy this refrigerator for the ice maker or the water dispenser and it's a good thing. The ice maker mades 8 cubes every 2 hours and the interior water dispenser drips. We have a stand alone ice maker and have really good tap water. Will be turning off the water to the refrigerator.
Cons: water dispenser drips, inadequate ice maker output
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
