Big capacity, well designed

After too many repairs on the old fridge, when it stopped cooling after eight years, we looked for a new one of a different make. Their repairman can go back to sleep. The biggest fridge I found with no water/ice in the front door was this Samsung. We like the French doors, the shelf layout and the digital temperature displays. The door bins that hold gallon jugs of milk are handy. I think the bottom freezer drawer is a more energy efficient design than the side by side and top freezer types.
This is our first ice maker, and it does work OK. But it will fill the bin too full and spill ice chunks behind the freezer drawer. We have to watch the ice level and use the "ice off" button fairly often. This issue was not serious enough to deduct a star from the rating.

Just purchased this refrigerator after reviewing the Consumer Reports and love it. Plenty of room, quiet, easy to set up, and works great.

small problem that was fixed

A very good product aside from a small problem that seemed to be easily fixed. The ice maker was causing problems with noise when dispensing water. The repair guy changed out the part and we haven't had a problem since.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Water dispenser broke twice in less than a year!

Our fridge is less than 2 years old and the water dispenser has broken twice is less than a year! We thought we were buying a quality product from a technology leader, but this product is a failure.

Poor Build Quality

We really like the lay out of the fridge and how it can be customized. Unfortunately, within a year 2 drawers have already cracked from normal wear and tear. They use cheap plastic. We definitely would not buy a Samsung fridge again and would not recommend. It's unfortunate, because we like their brand products in other areas.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

This is the worst appliance purchase we have ever purchased. The ice maker has gone out at least a dozen times. I have a constant leak under the deli drawer where we need to keep a towel there to absorb all the water. Frost continues to build up in the freezer. The door spring sprung and it never closes as it should. The door alarm is the most aggravating thing ever!!!! I have looked everywhere to try and disconnect. How are you supposed to clean the fridge when you have the stupid alarm beeping all the time?!?!?!? Today we had to defrost the fridge because evidently the ice has built on the freezer fan and It woke me out of a dead sleep. When I investigated online, a common occurrence with this product. Very disappointed, can't wait to replace!!! And it won't be with another Samsung product!

Cons: Poor quality, Too big, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, poorly constructed, loud and obnoxious alarm
