Cheaply Made Refrigerator

We've had our refrigerator for over 3 years so our warranty no longer covers the mass of things that have gone wrong with this refrigerator. First of all, this is our second Samsung refrigerator because the first one died after a year. They replaced the refrigerator because there were numerous leaks coming from a variety of spots. Next, we have had the ice maker go out twice in two years and both times were fixed under warranty. Now our ice maker is going out and no longer covered under warranty. Our last refrigerator lasted 15 years and still worked when we go rid of it. Goes to show manufactures don't make products to last.
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every time we get ice, or water some drops all over the floor. EVERY TIME. This is a very poorly design on the fridge. I like the design overall, the cooling, the depth and space it offers. The ice and water dispenser is really lacking. I would not have bought this fridge if I knew it was going to have this issue.

ZERO STARS -After 1 year ice maker compartment freezes over and now has stopped working altogether and refrigerator needs to be manually defrosted or ice builds up over coils and leaks water under crisper drawers onto floor. Worst product ever.

TERRIBLE ICE MAKER

this is probably the worst ice maker ever made. definetily not expected from samsung of all companies. doesn't even last 3 years. ive had older unknown brand fridge with icemakers that lasted well over 10 years with no issues. this one frosted up daily and was a pain to defrost. after a few defrosts, it completly stopped working. i tried all the tips and tricks from youtube, google, and samsung with no luck. not only was this fridge expensive, but now i need to spend even more to replace the icemaker!

Expensive piece of junk

Refrigerator coils froze over and had to be professionally repaired. Ice maker always froze over and had to be defrosted monthly until it just died altogether.
My family and I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ever again.

The fan constantly freezes & makes a horrible soun

The fan in the back panel constantly freezes & makes a horrible sound, like it's stuck on a monorail, climbing a mountain but the rails aren't catching so it just revs and revs and revs!!! It's so frustrating!

Without a doubt the noisiest fridge iv'e ever heard or owned. sounds like a mini-bike revving, and shifting gears. always has a loud buzzing sound. The ice cubes always come out wet, chipped and half frozen. Also the other reviewer is correct about the drawer never slides out smooth feels like it's jumping off the track. well it keeps my milk cold i guess.

Second Samsung French door....Loved the first one. This one has frequent loud banging noises. Scares the heck out of you when it bangs. Submitted a service request electronically six days ago. Haven't heard anything yet.
