Nope, It's Not Good
on November 19, 2023
Posted by: Paul
All the terrible reviews are completely accurate. 1. Ice maker will fail 2. Eventually water under the refrigerator compartment's pull out tray will accumulate water & ice underneath it. 3. The control panel will fail & freeze the refrigerator 4. Everything you fix under factory (or in my case home) warranty will fail again & again.
This is due to poorly designed architecture & poorly built components.
Not sure? Please call a few appliance repair people ... ask them about Samsung, and thank them for saving you time spent fixing this ...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don’t buy unless you like headaches

Nice and big, except… I’ve had to use a blow dryer in my ice box and an ice pick in my refrigerator…. Samsung should reimburse everyone who has bought this model because there are nothing but issues. Why have I had to pull a 1/2” thick ICE SHEET out of my fridge? Why does the ice maker get so frozen it doesn’t work and I have to blow dry it (or otherwise defrost my entire unit) in order to get it working again? Big appliance with big issue. If I could still return it I would. Heck, Samsung should reimburse me and send me a new unit that actually works like it should, because this one doesn’t.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The ice maker worked for like a year and froze over. The back builds up ice and the fan dies. Food spoils. Repair took 2 weeks and the compressor was shot. When repaired it worked for 6 months and had the same problem but this time the compressor was not replaced. A patch was put into place but the fix lasted 1 month. I constantly have to defrost the refrigerator.

Hello,
We're saddened to hear about your experience with one of the refrigerators.
You may contact our Support Team via the link below to speak with a live representative to better assist you with what occurs with the unit.
We have had this refrigerator for 4 years and by far it is the worst appliance I have ever owned bar none. The first year we noticed water under the beverage tray. we found that the evaporator drain was frozen. We installed a longer aluminum Clip Drain Evaporator. We never had the water under the tray again and assumed that was taken care of. Next, we have had unending problems with the icemaker freezing up and the freezer deciding to quit working. We would try to reset the controller by unplugging and unreliably the freezer would restart. The last straw has been the drinking water freezing up shattering the filter and reservoir then unthawing and dumping 20 gallons or more of water on our wood floors. We are still dealing with the floor damage as I write this. Tomorrow it will be over we are scrapping the piece of over engineered crap and buying a Frigidaire. Worst investment on an Appliance ever.

Not worth it

This Samsung refrigerator came with the house from the previous owner and it has been disappointing. The ice maker has been repaired under warranty twice and it continues to have problems. The freezer drawer handle broke off last night and it seems to be poorly built. The sad thing is the repair cost is not covered and it is too much to repair this junk. This is the last Samsung I will ever own!

Buy Tried and True Brands! Worst refrigerator ever
on July 27, 2024

I bought these around 4 years ago, and I'm so disappointed. Samsung needs to stay in their electronics lane because their appliances all such. Stupidly thinking that because I love their cell phones and televisions that their appliances would be amazing. Nope. They suck. This refrigerator leaks, it isn't cold, plastic shelves are brittle and cheap and break super easily. I regret buying this refrigerator as well as all my Samsung kitchen and laundry appliances. It is the worst, and I should've just stuck to the tried and true brands like Frigidaire and Maytag.

Don't buy this Refrigerator
on January 4, 2025

Bought this refrigerator about 8 years ago and so we had to replace the ice maker twice and has gone out again plus for the pass 3 years been having ice buildup which melts and goes down under and sometimes in the bottom coolest tray. I looked at video on other people having the same trouble and replace the evaporator clip around Aug. last year and after 4 months I have ice buildup again. So I would not recommend this Refrigerator
