Great upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this for a year and a half... love the shelves. Had heard some concerns that the ice maker / water dispense "leaks" but I havr not had this issue. I think when the ice is dispensed, if a piece of ice is caught between ice maker and dispenser, it eventually melts and will spill into tray area. Can fit lots of stuff, cakes, lots of food, plenty of drinks. We have a large extended family and host lots of events at our home and we can fit so much in here its amazing. Only gripe is the door shelves on the side that house the dispenser has a bunch of small and narrow spaces. I usually shove condiments and small things there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

3 repairs for the same issue in less than a year

purchased 11/19. needed service. in march 2020 i had to have it repaired for the same issue. it took over a week of emails because they said out of warranty allegedly 02/2020. they wouldnt accept the recipts and paperwork from the store. they agreed to send someone out on a warranty to the last repair. september 2020 the same issues all over again. do not buy this product!

Ice Dispenser Stay Away

i bought this fridge 4 years ago and two years ago the ice maker started jamming up for no reason. and looking at the reviews it appears i’m not the only one with this issue. considering the price of the fridge, this is beyond frustrating and should not be an issue. i would stay away from this fridge at all costs.

DO NOT GET THIS FRIDGE

This was the most expensive fridge/appliance we have ever bought. We have had it for almost 2 years now and from 2-3 months of owning it we have had nothing but problems. We paid $2,000+ for it at the time. Samsung has been out here at least 10 times and we still have all of the same issues. The ice mostly comes out chipped and chips then get stuck in the door so every time you go to get ice about 4 tablespoons of sitting water drop in to your cup. The ice maker is constantly jamming, even as I type this, I can't get the tray out because there is ice jammed in it AGAIN. The seal on the doors isn't very strong, my 2 year old was able to open the doors no problem. We will NEVER buy a Samsung Kitchen appliance again!
Cons: Poor quality

I will NEVER buy a SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR Refrigerator again

The fridge has been a dog: water/ice dispenser wouldn't stop dispensing (all over the floor) unless you opened the door (fixed under warranty); problem with center flap which doesn't always close properly so the seal is bad; ice maker stopped making ice but the reset button fixed the problem for a few weeks, and then ice maker died again. We were about to buy a new fridge and the ice maker mysteriously started making ice again. After leaving the UNIT on for a month vacation, returned home to find the freezer compartment was frozen but the fridge section was 60 degrees. Turned out the fridge section had iced up, and was repaired under warranty.
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed with this product

My previous refrigerator worked perfectly well for 15 years. I "upgraded" it and I am extremely disappointed with this Samsung fridge. In less than 3 years of use is already giving me problems with the ice bucket and the panel on the door. I would never recommend this fridge model to anybody.

The good points: the freezer is roomy and I like the extra drawer in the fridge, except it's slightly inconvenient that both of the upper doors must be wide open to use it. I don't know how you could get around that, though. It helps organize. The water filter is easy to change. The control panel is fairly easy to use and I like the LED lighting inside. Things I don't care for: it's a noisy refrigerator. Sometimes it sounds like a helicopter is hovering over the house then I realize it's the refrigerator. The ice maker bin is virtually impossible to empty (I have to have a friend help me get the bin out) and using the door dispenser is less than optimal because at first it spits out water and frost, then the ice comes, reluctantly. The stainless front is very difficult to keep clean, and to clean. It never really looks good although I am using a stainless cleaner that has been highly recommended. It did not come with a cover for the wheels which are an unattractive white plastic, so from across the room they were clearly visible, which detracted from the aesthetic appeal. I wouldn't buy this refrigerator again.
