My wife and I choose this because of the outside finish (Black Stainless Steel), Samsung's reputation and a companion to our other Samsung kitchen appliances. Would have given it an excellent rating but a few things kept me from issuing one: Has a single dispenser for both Ice and water requiring you to touch a screen to change from ice to water and visa versa; inside shelves are difficult to adjust; and
Pros: appearance
Cons: expensive, outside surface scratches easily
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loving my new refrigerator

So far I am absolutely LOVING my new Samsung refrigerator! There's nothing bad I can say about it. I love the freezer drawer, I can easily put my bread loaves in there without worrying about them getting squashed by other food. I love the shelves on the refrigerator doors and how the one shelf slides in on itself giving more space for taller items that might not otherwise fit. I haven't found anything I don't like about it!

I love my new Black Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator! I love opening both top doors and being able to see exactly what I have. Everything is at eye level. It is designed so well and holds a lot of food! I like the fruit and vegetable drawers up high, instead of at the very bottom in my old refrigerator. The Cool Select Pantry drawer is really handy. It has an adjustable divider to customize and organize.The freezer is so big and the sliding top tray is great. I never could see what was in my old freezer, but this one is makes it easy to see everything. I like the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker is perfect. Water comes out quickly and it has ice cubes or crushed ice. Very convenient. I love that it has a built-in water filter. No more icky tap water for us!
Pros: roomy, well designed, built-in water filter
