cleans so much better than my other 2 front loader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this a few weeks.I have owned 2 other front loaders from different companies. This cleans so much better than my other 2,in fact from day 1 both had not cleaned well and I was ready to go back to a top loader but when I went on line to read about the washers they were all saying the front loaders clean better so I decided to try one more time.I am so glad I did.It cleans the close unbelievably well and with such a small amount of detergent. It is big inside,5.2,which I really need because I have 5 children. If I needed a dryer I would buy the matching one.I do wish that I could choose any water temperature with any cycle, but this one is much more flexible than my other 2.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The large capacity is terrific and does a great cleaning job. My only issue is keeping the drainage hole unplugged as I have pet fur. You must be diligent in drying the rubber seal and leaving it open.

This is an Excellent Machine

Because of the size, I'm able to wash two queen size pillows. Not a stain was left when the cycle finished. Impressive, just like new! I've washed my queen size mattress pads with ease. Finally, to my great surprise and satisfaction, I was able to wash the King size comforter (102"x86") I have. I had my doubts as I stuffed the comforter into the machine, but it actually washed it using the JUMBO WASH setting plus the TurboWash option.
For our underwear, I used the Sanitary cycle, which is stated to kill 99.9% of bacteria. The machine has an internal water heater to get the water to EXTRA HOT. All of our underwear came out like new. For the towels there's even a TOWEL cycle setting for excellent cleaning results and the high spin cycle removes most of the water to reduce drying time. I can feel that my towels are dryer coming out of the washing machine than they were when I had my old top loader.
I'm SO VERY HAPPY with this purchase. I don't mind the money that I spent on it. I don't have to trudge to the laundromat to wash my large items anymore. It's actually great to knock out a week's worth of laundry in just a few short hours.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, high capacity

Fickle

I have owned this washer for 2.5 years. I made this purchase b/c of the size (largest on the market for home use) and it had the stainless steel tub. I wanted to love this product but soon after purchasing it, the computer brain was replaced, followed by the setting control. Today I have scheduled another service repair for the setting control again. If it wasn't for all the repairs I would have rated this much higher as it washes clothes very well, using a small amount of water as well as HE detergent and bleach. That is a money saver. However, all in all, I would not purchase this LG washer again. Reading all of the other reviews, I think I got a lemon. Wish there was a return possibility for a replacement.

Unbalanced flaw - not worth extra capacity
on May 25, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washing machine as a family of 5, tired of lower quality machines we've had to replace. Attracted to extra large capacity, but it has been no benefit when we put anything other than a "normal" load - constantly stalls out as UNBALANCED. Tried using the lowest spin and working up (after going through the full wash cycle), but if you can't get it to fully spin even on low, you're just out of luck. Had to throw away a pillow that we had washed all the time in a smaller, basic front loader that this washer WOULD NOT SPIN. Not alone, not with other pillows, not with other clothes. Advertised as being able to fit a King comforter and whole bedding set in 1 load - well that might be true but you'll never actually be able to wash it. Would love to get rid of this but spent too much on it :(. Also, it sticks out so far and so tall that I can't reach anything in the cabinets above - so not worth the extra capacity!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LG has outdone themselves!

Simply amazing set in every aspect! These things have everything but birth control! :D Fast. Efficient. Silent... you won't even know they're on! HUGE capacityI have a king sized bed and it can hold all of the bedding from it (including the comforter) in ONE load! Saves water. Catches things that were left in pockets and pulls them away from your clothes so nothing will damage your clothes. No annoying buzzers. These beauties play you a cute little jingle when the load is finished, and you can set the volume on it... or even turn it completely off. This set is ideal for a big family or even a small one! With the steam cycles on the washer and dryer, I no longer need the services of my drycleaner. Also the shelf unit that fits in the dryer is ideal for clothes that shouldn't be tumble dried and for putting shoes on to dry without the clunking one would have in a normal machine. This will come in very handy this winter for my childrens' snow boots :) I honestly can't say enough good things about it. This is a set you will just have to see and try to believe. And the 10 year warranty on top of all that gives you peace of mind that you are getting the quality you've come to expect from LG.
Well played, LG. Well played. :D
