LOVE this washing machine!

My life got so much easier with this new washing machine for a number of reasons:
1. It gets all our clothes REALLY clean (with or without using the steam feature)
2. I can fit 2-2.5 the amount of clothes in one load as compared to our old washing machine
3. I can fit our king comforter and all the sheets in one load
4. I can do all my husband's work pants and dress shirts very quickly (wash and dry in ~35 minutes)
5. Very easy to use and a ton of neat options
6. Very quiet
7. I use the normal cycle a lot. Quick with the cold wash and turbo wash options
8. The allergen reducer option is great for all the kids bedding and blankets
9. The dryer is AWESOME too! I mostly use the normal cycle (41 minutes) and all clothes (no matter how much is in there) comes out dry. And believe me, I put in a lot of clothes with our family of 5! It's very easy to use as well.
Overall, I am REALLY happy with both products and it was well worth the money spent. I only do laundry a few times a week as opposed to every day / multiple loads (with the old top loader). Definitely a time saver with 3 young kids in the house! Would HIGHLY recommend it!
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Just bought the set installed yesterday. Then ran it without laundry to clean the tub before use. Then started Loading large loads of laundry and this set took them on like they were nothing!! I'm very impressed with this set's Capacity I would recommend them to anyone with a larger family;) The Pedestals are a good investment that saves the back!

good washer

This washer easily washes a king size bulky comforter. I like the allergen cycle. It seems to make a difference with bedding. You can also choose a short cycle time (less than 40 minutes) if you use turbo wash and cool water. Otherwise, cycle times can be around 1.5 hours.
I like the light but would prefer to be able to turn it on when needed or if it came on when the door was wide open. It would really help in finding small items stuck to the walls of the washer.
I really like the magnet on the door that holds it ajar. This helps dry the interior.
I have had a couple of disappointments:
- There have been a handful of times that I have opened the door after the cycle ended to find that water was dripping from the top inside rim . I didn't expect this water to be left after the spin cycle.
-It vibrates. The owner's manual warned that vibration can occur if the washer is on a softer surface (like a second floor). It does vibrate on our second floor.

WOW!

Very recently my family changed from a family of 2 to a blended family of 5. What used to be a laundry schedule of one day of laundering per week has quickly changed into a chore of more than several loads of laundry per day. If it werent for this washer I would feel tortured. While the cycle times are longer than my last washer, the bonuses of this washer more than make up for any additional wash time. There are tons of settings so every load of laundry is done perfectly...from cottons, to delicates, and everything in between. This washer even removes old stains! I love that this washer doesnt pull my clothes like a top loader with an agitator. All in all, this machine is fantastic! It is pricey, but I've discovered it is more than worth it if you have a big family, or want to get your many loads of laundry done well.

Love this washer!!!

This is our second LG washer and dryer combo we have purchased. Our old ones were half the size of these and you can tell. It feels like we are at a laundry-mat doing our wash! The controls are easy to use and the wash options are endless. We have washed everything from our most delicate clothes to our heavy and bulky comforters and blankets with ease.
We have nine children and have cut our washing in half with this new washing machine. We would highly recommend these to everyone who has high volume laundry needs.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, large family

Love how much you can put in one load!

I love the size of this washer. You can really put a lot of items in one load! The downfall to that is that I have always heard that a full load cleans better than a small load. This is so big that some times I can't always fill it up! I really like all the features ease of use. Would definately recommend it anyone needing a large washer.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

This nice washer needs a decent filter.

I have been doing my own laundry for 60 years and am well aware of the lint and hair that is trapped in the lint trap of washers of the past. Now I am struggling to devise some type of lint trap to keep this lint from going into my septic system. Even though I can look out of my window and see the skyscrapers downtown 3 miles away, our older, small developement is all on septic tanks. The filter that is built into my new washer might catch a cat , but nothing much smaller, like cat hair. How do I keep lint from your top of the line washer from fouling my septic system.
