Excellent Dryer

This dryer is the fastest we have ever dried our cloths. The extra size tub (almost twice the size of the washer) allows excellent air circulation around the cloths. I have checked the dryer several times thinking it still had time on the cycle only to find the cloths already dry. The dryer is not the bottleneck it used to be with my old set. Love it.
As with any dryer, large blankets will occasionally need to be untwisted to facilitate drying but the drying time is still much quicker. The light in the unit (and the washer) are a good feature too.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality, very quick drying times, speed

Excellent companion to the WM8000HVA

We decided to purchase a new washer and dryer set after our 14-year-old set finally started to break down. After copious research and reading up on all the consumer-review sites, we decided to go with the mega-capacity of the WM8000HVA washer and its companion dryer, the DLEX8000V.
We've had them for over a month now and they have performed flawlessly. The mega capacity of both is great because it allows us to wash and dry an entire king-sized set of bedding at once, which was essential - no going to the laundromat in order to wash a king-sized comforter!
We also really like the Steam Clean feature on both the washer AND the dryer - sanitize in the washer, reduce wrinkles or a quick touch up in the dryer? Yes, please!
I assume the the gas version of this would be even more economical to run, but we were already wired for electric, and even with its over-sized capacity, it's still far more efficient than our old one.
Highly recommended!

We selected an LG dryer because we have had excellent performance from other LG products we own. We have an LG Kimchi chest freezer that is over 20 years old with no maintenance required.
We have owned the LG large capacity dryer for only 3 months so our experiences are time limited. The first problem we encountered was one of. the screws holding the door on would not come loose. The door therefore could not be reversed. On the fourth technician visit the technician was excellent, not average like the first three, and the screw was removed and the door reversed.
The one problem is the control settings panel IS NOT BACK LIT even with the power on!! It is therefore close to impossible to read and make changes in the variable settings. And the auto selected variables, for the preset auto cycle types, is shown with a very bright back lighting which makes reading the other selections even harder to see. I don't understand how LG could make such an obvious mistake...... a very difficult to see, read, and therefore use control panel ??
This problem is the reason I am giving a "4" for features and value.

The steam gave us some trouble in the vent during the winter but since then it has been fine. It's just too much hot air entering to the cold and affecting the vent but not breaking it. We love this dryer and it always does an awesome job. It senses when the clothes need more time or less and adjusts appropriately. We would definitely buy this model again.

I purchased this dryer to replace my Electrolux dryer that was giving me problems. I have never been happier with a dryer as I am with my LG. I have dried evrything from big bulky papasan chair cushions to delicate items. It dries completely and i have never had to add more time. The steam feature is a must. It derinkles clothes so there is no need to pull out the ironing board and iron anymore. I highly recommend this dryer.

At last I can dry all my big bedding from comforters to sleeping bags as well as things that are not bedding; stuffed animals.
The special features like the steam feature are just bonuses to a wonderful dryer.

works great so far (6 months) handles the clothes for our family of 6 children with one on the way with ease. only thing missing is a maid to keep it running while we homeschool the children :)
