Our only critique is that the display where you select water, ice cubes or crushed ice is not lit up at night, making it hard to see if the kitchen lights are off.

I bought it 4 years ago and in the last two months the compressor has quit leaving me with a great grocery replacement bill. Thanks to up above that I bought the extended warranty because I’m sure two compressors would have been a hefty bill. Not happy for having to sit around using a cooler for refrigeration for over a week.

Great features but bad compressor

I really enjoyed the features of this french door refrigerator. About 6 months ago, it started whirring louder and louder and 1 month ago the ice maker stopped working. The next morning, we woke up to a defrosting refrigerator. The compressor had given out at 4 years and 11 months! Lg did honor the warranty and finally got someone out to repair it with a new compressor. I hope that this one lasts because everything else is working great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator 6 years ago. 2 years after buying it had to have the compresser replaced. Now 4 years later it would appear we have to have it replaced again. Not very reliable and probably going to have to buy a whole new fridge because the cost to fix it is close to the cost of a new fridge. Not to mention trying to get someone to do it in our area is impossible.
