[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge was great until the compressor died after only 6 years. Then a loud noise kept getting worst since the compressor was changed. Also, the ice maker would get jammed and make a huge mess when pulling the ice holder out. To fix it, it would cost couple hundred dollars. Very disappointing!

This fridge is only 3.5 years old and the compressor has died. If I could give Zero stars I would have. We decided to buy a Frigidaire brand fridge.

Product has nice features but quality is not solid. I had problems with the icemaker within the first few years and the compressor died after 6.5 years. Experience was disappointing for a product at this price point.

Nice looking with great features, but had problems

I've had this refrigerator for 7 years now. It looks great. Excellent styling and appearance. Great features. Just wish the ice maker worked better. It doesn't seem to keep up with the ice needs of a larger family. But then again we should have gone with the dual ice maker. The ice maker did have some problems due to hard water build up, where water would spill over into the ice bin and freeze as a solid block. The refrigerator has also been quite loud in operation. Perhaps rattling coils. We recently had it serviced and hopefully it will operate more quietly.

Excellent appliance. However, compressor failed after 9 years, and, after agreeing to pay for it, LG decided they would only pay 40% of the costs. After numerous rounds with the "Presidential Liasion", they refused to stand by their word.

The look of this refrigerator is very sleek and we love the no handle design. However, the quality control at LG is terrible. I had dents and scratches on 3 of the 4 stainless panels and needed to have them replaced. The new ones were delivered and there was a big scratch on the freezer drawer. I took an offer of money off instead of taking more time out of my schedule to deal with it. The inside water dispenser is great and the extra room on the door was so worth not putting ice and water dispenser on the outside of the door. The inner drawers and freezer drawer rails seem really rickety and thin. I hope this one lasts longer than my last LG. Only 6 years and 2 compressors blowing out.
