3.5 YEARS AND COMPRESSOR FAILED.

I bought this in 2015 and it completely stopped cooling. First the freezer went out (everything had to be thrown out) then the fridge went out a few days later. Thankfully we still have a cheap refrigerator (that is still running in the garage) that was included when we bought our house 11 years ago. We've been looking for a new refrigerator and will not consider LG now. Gave it a 2 star because at least it lasted us longer than other reviewers.

Died after four years ...

The first four years of having this fridge, I was giving it 5 stars all day! Roomy, well-lit, and convenient. Then the unit stopped cooling. It has been two months of visits from a contracted repair company - replacing the compressor, freon, even the entire motherboard, to no avail.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor performance with door ice maker.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT

We bought this Fridge 6 years ago. Woke up one morning and the freezer stopped cooling. Next day the fridge stopped working. Had repair company come out said there was no Freon but couldn't find a leak. Filled it with freon and 3 days later it broke again. Repair company can not find leak but also can not figure out what is wrong. I have a 20 year old fridge in the garage that works 100 times better then this piece of junk! I will NEVER by LG again!
