This refrigerator lasted 7 years only, the compressor was changed three times in these 7 years, the only good thing about it looks good, but looks is deceiving, my previous refrigerator is still working, thanks god I did not through it away

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live the design of this fridge. Perfectly sized, dispenses ice well and when it works it works well. That being said, we've had repair techs out to fix it 8 times now. The compressor, drier assembly, ice maker, system board have all been replaced and next week they'll be here to replace the damper. We haven't yet made it to year four. Fortunately, we did get Geek Squad protection.

bad compresser----icemaker made wife mad all the time---6 years old--had to get repairman out several times during the 6 years---even tho with the 10 year warranty on the compresser ----lg products are not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge has a great design with plenty of space and an ice maker that doesn't suck up a lot of the fridge real estate. That being said we've had issues with it starting at 6 months and continuing over the next 3 and a half years. Fortunately we bought extra protection on it. We've had the board, drier, ice maker, compressor, an entire door, and most recently a damper replaced on this refrigerator. It has been about 5 weeks now (since the new damper) and it seems to be holding it's temp again. I'm willing to concede that we just got a bad one but so far I'm weary of this refrigerator and I don't feel like I will ever be at peace without constantly monitoring the temperature.

I have been waiting almost a month for the part and the process for having one sent to my repair company has been horrible. I would never recommend and this is the last LG appliance I will buy.
