We were somewhat limited in our choices as our cabinet arrangement would only accommodate a refrigerator under 69 inches high. I spent a long time looking, but we couldn't be happier with our choice. Love the overall looks, the lighting and the capacity. The bottom freezer is a first for us, but having had it for 4 months, we would never go back to the side-by-side. Much easier to store and find things in the freezer! Have had no issues with the ice/water dispenser. We have a family of four using it regularly, and the ice capacity has not been an issue. The water filter is much more accessible than our old unit, and very easy to install. Zero issues with sounds or performance...this is a GREAT refrigerator! A friend/coworker recommended it to us, and I concur...Highly recommend!

HORRIBLE Ice Maker & Stainless is Hard to Clean!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned several really nice stainless steel refrigerator/freezer combos over the years and this one has the absolutely worst ice maker we've ever come across. This thing can't keep up with two adults that work full-time without running out of ice. We can usually each fill-up our 24oz Tervis cups once and then it's out of ice. We put the "extra ice" setting on and that seems to make very little difference. We have been extremely disappointed with this really expensive purchase!!! The other really negative thing is that even though it states that it's super easy to clean - it's anything but. We've tried the suggested cleaners and many others, but there are always finger prints, cleaner streaks, etc. Come On LG - You can do better and will have to for us to buy LG again. BTW - We bought all new matching appliance and the same issues are true with cleaning the microwave, stove/oven and dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Would never buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this approx 3 years ago. It's an attractive Refrigerator but has given us a lot of problems. The ice maker is worthless, producing very little ice regardless of what setting you have it on. It also frequently freezes up so I have to bring out my hair dryer and defrost the water line. The layout is very nice but the drawers have all cracked....every one of them. We are middle aged adults who treat our things well. I would hate to see how this unit would stand up to use by a family with children. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

It is a nice fridge but there are a few things that could be better. First, the icemaker is small and the ice seems to freeze together so you have to bang on it almost everytime you use it or you won't get ice. Second, the ice water dispenser is confusing. Almost everyone who uses it tends to miss their glass and run water on the floor

This style and this particular refrigerator is very easy to use and everything is very easy to get to and use. The filter is very easy to change and the features are all nice. We really enjoy our new refrigerator.

I had a side by side for almost 11 years and found both the refrigerator and freezer to be cramped; not so with this LG product. The lighting is wonderful, things don't get lost in it, and it's easy to clean. I particularly love the deli meat and cheese drawer, which can double for party tray storage if needed. The freezer of my old side by side allowed for things to accumulate at the rear and food was wasted. I thought that the bin style freezer might be a poor idea, but I was wrong. The easy pull out freezer and it's organization, doesn't allow me to over fill, and waste is minimized. I love the freezer's top drawer and ice bin, which is great to store extra ice for parties and for a big family. I love the adjustable shelfs, but have found that without removing the top right shelf completely storing pitchers and milk leaves empty or easily overlooked space behind it. I have read reports about the inadvisability of storing milk on the doors, and so I've chosen not to do that. I love the ice maker, which is easy to empty and doesn't intrude into shelf space. The quality of this appliance is obvious. I have found, with children in the household, I have had to be diligent about cleaning the surface front consistently, but overall the stainless steel products have given my kitchen a more contemporary look!
