Poor Quality and Unreliable

This refirgerator is very poor quality and unreliable as evidenced by the 3 issues we have had with it in only 9 months. Door issues, filter issues and ice freezing up the fans and causing the unit to stop operating completely. I would not recommend this refrigerator.

A great frig!

Have been using this frig for 6 months and love it more now than the day it arrived! Keeps food really cooled or frozen well. Ice maker makes plenty of ice, but, we are not a big family. The holding container in the freezer stores plenty of ice for us and the ice maker itself is easy to remove and reinstall.
I love the open design of the top cooling section. The doors open wide and the shelves move easily for storage of taller items. The storage in the doors is more than sufficient.
All in all, I love the frig and am glad I bought it. I would recommend it to anyone desiring an open design frig. It looks absolutely beautiful in my cabinet opening and the price is more than reasonable for all the features you get. The stainless exterior is easy to clean and doesn't leave a lot of fingerprints. We also love the outside ice and water feature on the door.
There is an alarm that reminds you the doors are open should you fail to get them closed all the way, retaining your cold and saving energy. This is the nicest frig I've ever owned.

Best refrigerator/freezer I've ever owned!!

I received this refrigerator in January of 2014 and it has delighted me every day I've owned it. The lighting makes it easy to see everything on all the shelves. The shelves are plentiful and extremely easy to adjust. Vegetables and fruits stay fresher longer than in any other refrigerator I have ever owned and the deli tray at the bottom keeps cheeses and deli meats fresh forever. The door bins are large enough for gallon containers and the smaller ones easily accommodate a variety of condiments. I also like the chime that alerts me if I didn't fully close the door. The freezer keeps ice cream at exactly the right temperature, is very spacious and the top drawer is so convenient for things you need frequently. I'm not a fan of the stainless steel finish but it was priced lower than my preferred white finish and, since I am renovating the entire house, I had to consider the budget. That is the only negative I have found in the five months I've had the unit and it is more a matter of personal taste; it is very easy to keep clean. I highly recommend it to every friend and family member who is in the market for a new one.

Worst Refrigerator Ever

I've had nothing but trouble with this refrigerator since delivery. They've brought 3 refrigerators out initially because none were level. The last one brought was the closes but still not level. It leaks water when you open the doors and being stainless steel it's constant cleaning when the water runs down the front. Today a woke up to find my kitchen floor freezing to find the freezer is not sealing and has developed ice in the bottom and will not close. I currently have blocked closed with my kitchen chair.

I did a lot of research before I purchase this product. I am very happy with it. It is a great size and can adjust to all my needs depending on the event. people talk about the ice maker not producing enough ice and that is not true we have a large family and have never had that problem.

Do Not Buy and LG LFX28968SW Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator in Dec 2013. As of yesterday, it has stopped cooling twice. The first time it took weeks to get it working again. From the research I have done, I believe there is a Freon leak that cannot be repaired because it is a "sealed unit", whatever that means. Also, the ice maker has leaked since day one, making ice in the lower freeze compartment as well as puddles on the floor. Buyer beware!
