Since day 1, the bottom door has marks that never come off. I was happy with my purchase until the marks on the door suddenly appeared!! Then the compressor went after having it for 3 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 2014. Went to 2021. Died this year. Ice maker sucked. Always getting blocked. Wife hated it. Easily dented and fingerprints. The Ice maker was a pain for 7 years. They don’t make them like they used to.

Had the refrigerator for only 7 years and the compressor already went bad. Went looking for a new one and did not look at any LG’s will not buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this LG 2015- in the first 4 months the ice maker broke. LG honored their warranty and it was replaced immediately. It has worked since the repair however sometimes the ice gets jammed in the feeder and we have to take a pic to break the ice out. . Then during the pandemic the generator died. Luckily it died near to the end of the warranty. LG honored this also. Still, I truly love the capacity and the layout. They honored their contract but my parent's side by side lasted for 30 years. Too bad nothing is made to last anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator in 2015 with expectations that it would perform similar to the other appliances I already had. (Displays & Dishwasher) The functionality of the unit is great. Maintenance on filters is simple and overall cooling is uniform. I like the ice on the door with its ability to save space by design but there are times when the ice machine can't keep up with the needs of my family of 5. Not a major issue in my mind. One negative drawback is in the design of the compressor / software that causes early failure of the compressor components. This should not be an issue at 5 years but we recently had to pay to have a service tech replace the warranty compressor. While I am grateful that the compressor was under warranty I do not appreciate paying for the repair of a known problem with the design. I see so many people have the same issue and would consider this an issue with the design. I consider this appliance as a device that should last 10+ years with no issues.
Overall the unit is good and functions as I need it. I don't consider the repairs on the compressor a great enough risk to replace the unit with a different brand and will keep the refrigerator and continue to use it until its next failure however I have a substantial concern with spending the amount of money on this unit to have it only last 5 years and will not purchase another LG appliance in my future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While i enjoyed the features of the fridge, i wasnt impressed on the longevity of the product. Only 4 years, the fridge compressor blew out and cooling stopped. icemaker stopped making ice, and had part fixed. Water drips under the fridge right at the corner of the leg. Its noisy at times, like a humming noise, but i suspect that was the failing compressor. While its pretty and spacious, i wish it had less troubles.
